chicago perspective

Think what you want (usually a good start)… but the midwest is not known for being progressive. Our heartland functions more like our national values time capsule…our anchor. For many who daily walk the solid midwestern good earth — where the only seas are of soy beans and corn — the closer you get to a coastline, the closer you get to crazy. For those who have found home far, far away from the Mississippi River, a trip inland can feel like a journey back into Plato’s cave. We are after all, truly different states that have”United.”

And then there is Chicago. Old cow town and cosmopolitan hub…home to The House of Blues and global tastes. Chicago seems faithful to its history and place, and connected to the world. A cool city, with its share of challenges… But bringing it together. It’s an attitude.
